Check out the links I'm going to be posting as well, they'll help you "understand" the kwento's better! Heehee!
I'm also eating my breakfast right now as I type this, Special K Almond cereal. Heehee! Yum! Sugar rush! Ooh, I'm thinking of also putting up titles for every month of the year... kinda like the titles of every F.R.I.E.N.D.S epidode there is, where it all starts with "The One." Haha! Just 'cause I looove that show! So there, now that I've set my little helpers, let's get this party started!!! =*
JANUARY:The one where it all started!
(

Welcomed the year with Mom, Ninang Aggie and Joseph and celebrated it at a family friends' house karaoke-ing and eating stuffed salmon. =P
But basically it was the month where I had my heart broken, fixed and broken again- for the nth time by the same person. Haha! Sucks that it had to happen at the start of the year, ei? But oh well, that's life.
Oi, Earl! If ever you get to read this, I am not lashing out or bitching about you again ah! Trust me, it's all goohood-in-the-hood now! Haha! It's just that, I can't possibly write a year-end report without you. You were, afterall, part of the year that was! =) Peace! =*
FEBRUARY:The One with a lot of firsts and where I learned to be Ms. Independent!
(

Oh, I remember this! This month was packed with fun! It was when I got my first job ever, babysitting for this sweet girl named Michelle... In connection with that, I also got my first paycheck.
This was also when I first saw and went inside the Madison Square Garden to watch Matchbox 20 and Alanis Morisette, my first concert in NY with Joseph on Valentine's.
It was also my first time to experience being stalked by a cab driver, which was not fun, btw!
And finally, it was the month where I celebrated my first year anniversary with Lady Liberty (Feb. 5)! =)
MARCH:The One where I died- or I wanted to atleast!
(

My lack of posts says it all! The time I wished I listened to the big O's (Oprah) wise words-- "
Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated WITH you, he'll cheat ON you."
The month where me and my life was on auto-pilot... The month I had my heart, not only broken, but crushed, cut and shattered into minute pieces as well.
The month that revolved with either just crying myself the whole night to sleep, or crying myself the whole day while waiting for a message, a call, or simply a text from him.
A whole month that purely and solely depended on him.
Ay nako, love naman talaga! But I'm really proud of myself, 'cause back then I would have never thought that I could get over it and just laugh at myself while typing all about it- like what I'm doing right now. Haha! Oh, but check this out! Sa sobrang ka-emohan ko, this was like my mantra:
I'm Dying, Dying to find a distraction, to get you away from me.
I'm Dying, Dying to reach a conclusion, so that the world can see.
It's the same old story of love and glory that broke before it bent.
I'm Dying, Dying to live without you again.
Dying, Dying to die just to come back so we can meet again.
Dying, Dying to say what I always should have said.
It's a strange emotion, but there's still hope in this,
As long as there's a breath...
I'm Dying, Dying. And I can't live without you again.
Oh diba? Ang loka-loka ko lang? LOL! But I had fun days as well 'cause this was the month Mary and her friends came over to visit. This was also when we learned (through over-the-counter tests) that Potpot was expecting life! Ah, the miracle. =))
APRIL:The One where I wanted to become a cereal!
(

...Cerael killer, that is! =P (Oh, relax, alam kong serial talaga yung spelling nun!)
My emotions took the better of me. I hated not only the 2 people that hurt me the most but the whole fucking (as the old Nadine would have described it!) world and the fukcing people that was in it as well. I badly wanted to go home and KILL both of them! Really! I am not even kidding! Haha!
But after that moment, I had an epiphany, and this was it--
"
Nadine, Let go of what I've left behind. You've been here for quite a while now. I know it's not that easy and I know it's always easier said than done. But you just can't torture yourself by always thinking of your what if's... What if you just stayed, what if you go back, what if you didn't leave Manila? You can't be like that all the time. You're just making it more difficult for you! What you can do is find things that will make you like where you are right now... friends who will make you feel at home and bring you comfort and things that will make you feel less lonely. The best part is, the friends you left behind in the Philippines will always be there, you will remain in their hearts and them in yours. People have to go their own separate ways to find what's out there. We all have to let go of our past to discover things that are waiting for us and the past will be a lesson and a sweet memory that we can always reminisce. Come on, you deserve to be happy. Don't do this to yourself. No one can help yourself but you!"
--And with that I felt like I was born again. I started going out with family and friends more. I slept over at Jersey for my cousins' birthday. I met up with Kuya Neal when he was still visiting here. I focused on my studies. I flirted with the cashier at our cafeteria! LOL! And I even had my very first Spring break, ever! Haha! =))
MAY:The One I where I was revived.
(

After going to hell and back, and resurfacing a winner like Phelps, I felt like I needed to reward myself. I went to see The Statue of Liberty with Joseph, watched Ironman (which remains to be my 2008 movie of the year!), Indiana Jones (Yey, Shia!) and SATC, and shopped like I've never shopped before. I ate out more with the people I love (TGIF & Applebee's). I got myself a new baby, my iPod Waffle, c/o Mom's credit card! Haha! And I joined the Nike running club where I got to meet a lot of new people. Oh, and let's not forget, I also had a Valentine's day in May! Heehee! Kilig! =*
JUNE:The One with the new blog!
(
READ THIS.)
That's right! I made a new one- to push away the badvibes that were coming from my old one. Heehee. The month where I deleted my 2 other Friendster accounts, posted numerous vlogs (both "musical" and "personal"! LOL!), joined the Jamba Juice Challenge and lost (Haha! But it's okay!), fell in love with NY's beauty, watched a lot of movies, saw the annual gay parade, went inside The Carnegie Hall for the first time, shopped ofcourse, and met new friends through Biology II (eventhough the subject itself and my girl prof sucked ass!). =)) I was having too much fun I forgot to even write on my own journal.. It's a good thing I have my blog! =P
JULY:The One where I was tested!
(
READ THIS.)
I don't remember much from this month 'cause aside from the 4 entries I've posted on my blog-- which spells r-e-l-a-p-s-e, my organizer lacked sensible entries too except for the July 10 spot, which had "Candidacy =(" written on it.
I wasn't able to get into the Nursing program, not because of grades, but because of the quota. They only accept 30 students in the program and sadly, I was number 40 out of the 80. Arg! I felt really sad and vulnerable again which explains the relapsing part but I did overcome those feelings by bringing myself closer to Him. It's true that He really doesn't give us problems we can't handle and as cliche as this may sound, I lived by the saying, "When a door closes, another window opens."-- as I changed my majors to what I really wanted in the first place, Business Administration.
AUGUST:The One where I was bitten by the wolves and vampires!
(
READ THIS and
THIS.)
I made a new blog again, only this time, in Tumblr. Haha! Ah, the month I fell inlove (again!) with a fictional character-- everybody's boyfriend, Edward. LOL! Oooh, and Jacob too!! Haha! After months and months of reading about Twilight from other bloggers, I finally decided to try and DL an ebook. Well, what can I say, after reading Twilight, I was hooked- and the rest was history! =))
It was also the time I fell inlove with the adorable Uglydolls again and got hooked on the series, Summer Heights High! Yey! Heehee! Too bad they only had one season!
For my summer break, my family went state-hopping from Maryland to Washingon to Virginia and Baltimore during the last few days of the August, which I can say was the highlight of my month.
SEPTEMBER:The One where I met the Spanish papi!
(
READ THIS!)
Eeeeh!! Okay, let's start first with the before I met Christian bits because I assure you, he will be ever present on this "report" from now till the end of the year. Ahaha! Kilig! =P
This, I declare, is my most fave month of the year. Haha! Actually, it's all of the "ber" months, but since everything rooted from September, I call this it! Ooh, I bet this is gonna be long! Haha!
The first of the month was Labor day and we spent it with my extended family at Jersey! It was also GG's Season 2 premier! The birth of the "Damn that mother-Chucker!" line! Eyelove! =))
On the 4th, I visited Mary at her school (Temple University) in Philadelphia. My first time to experience the "dorm-life" in the U.S.-- where there are co-ed wings, common bathrooms, foam parties, lounging areas with pool tables and free cafeteria food (thanks to meal plans. Haha! Aah, namiss ko tuloy yung dorm namin sa LaSalle!!! =P We watched The Dark Night, ate at Trooper(?) diner, Fridays(?) and had cheesecakes at the Cheesecake Factory (YUMMM!!!). We also watched "bad" movies-- Kazaam and a scary movie-- Shutter before we slept. Haha! I had fun with Mary and her friends, namely, Ryan, Jess, Jenny, Ben and BJ-- which drove me back to the train station on the 6th.
On the 8th, the fateful day... the day school started, was when I first met him! Haha! Siyempre, we weren't close then but he was my very first seatmate for my very first day as a Business Ad student. ♥
14th: Lolo, Kitisky and my fave Tita which I call Mama Gina came!!! I super love them! I had always wished that sana some of our relatives from back home would come over to visit so it wouldn't be just me and my Mom all the time so imagine my happiness when I learned that they were coming to stay for 3 months!! Yey!! =)) With them were Lola Titing, Lolo Norme, Kuya Neal and Blanche too.
15th: Our first night together! Feeling ko jetlagged din ako 'cause all we did was magkwentuhan! A year and a half ko rin sila hindi nakita so I really missed them, and missed a lot of chikas! Haha! At school, I fell asleep on my two subjects! Christian even asked, "Rough weeekend?", when he saw me sleeping on my seat! Haha! Uuuy, concerned! =*
16th was Chel's graduation and we ate at this big Chinese buffet resto which I forgot the name. The mini-after party was at James' house. Mini 'cause I think we only stayed there for an hour and we only had about 2 shots each 'cause all of us still had classes/work the next day (well, except for the balikbayans and Chel, ofcourse, 'cause she just graduated! Haha!).
17th: Sleepover at Jersey!
18th: NeYo's free concert at Z100's Meet and Greet party at South SeaPort, Brooklyn with my cousins Kitisky, Chel and Blanche.
23rd: My first movie date with him! Heehee! Eventhough it was a crappy movie in a crappy theatre, I still enjoyed it! =P
25th: The "guy at the bus" moment with him! Haha! My first time to see him get ticked, because of jealousy! Woohoo!! Haha! =P
26th: Tito Nilo's birthday party at our house.
27th: Family party/gathering at Mark's!
28th: Watched EAGLE EYE (SHIAAAA!!!) at Jersey Garden with the whole gang: Chel, Blanche, Angela, Nelson, Marc, Kuya Neal, Jeff and Kitisky. It was so much fun!!! We shopped ofcourse, afterwards! =* Bonding moments with Blanquita! =))
And finally, I had no classes on the 29th and 30th and so I became a tour guide and showed the tourista's NY's grandiosity!
Eyelove this month, the one where I fell, not for a fictional character, but for a real, breathing, hot Spanish guy. ♥
OCTOBER:The One where I turned twenTEEN-two!
(
READ THIS.)
Yes, I turned the big-22! Gah, I'm so old! Haha! I celebrated it the night before at a Filipino resto with the family because my birthday itself fell on a Saturday and I had classes till 4 that day.
On the day itself, 11th, my Ninang Aggie made me spag with meatballs with a large tray of brownies which we ate later that day.
At school, Chritian with some of my classmates, got me chocolates from the vending machine because they didn't know that it was my birthday! Haha! I didn't want to tell them 'cause I wanted Chris to find out for himself- which he did after he saw me reading a birthday greeting text from my phone. Daya! LOL!
When I got home, Chel and Blanche surprised me with a chocolate cake that they baked and we, together with Kitisky- who cooked egg rolls for me, Mark and Chel's friend went out for billiards and ate at Wendy's after! Haha! =))
This was the month I had my first simulated interview.
The month Christian told me, "Mahul keeta!" LOL!
The month I saw Times Square and the Rockefeller Center in a different light.
The month I dressed up as a slutty school girl for Holloween (for the first time, Trick or treat!)
And the month I made THIS blog! Heehee! Which I hope will be my last! =*
