You know that thing when you see someone cute and he smiles and your heart kind of goes like warm butter sliding down hot toast? Well that's what it's like when I see a store. Only it's better.

Abnormally-normal.

A 22 year old lady trapped in a 9 year old brain.

You know how subways here have those poles you use to cling on to so you won't fall over? Right.

So whenever I travel alone-- like on most mornings going to school, I always, always, get this urge to do a pole-dance infront of total strangers... but only when I'm standing and my iPod's on shuffle mode and it randomnly blasts Rihanna's, Unfaithful or Disturbia. =))

Hey, remember the scene in "A Very Special Love" where Sarah was secretly doing the sundance while Papa Lloydie was fuming? I DO THAT!!!-- only instead of sundancing, I picture myself as Rihanna in her 2 aforementioned music videos, and move like that! Haha!
Well, I don't really know if people notice me while I'm doing it, but whatever, NY is full of randomly weird people anyways; here check out overheardinnewyork.com, one of my fave websites to visit, for proof!

So lately I have been listening to this site that plays Philippine radio stations!! It's sooo cool!! I got to listen to my old-time faves, Wave 89.1 and Magic 89.9 and I got to hear Mo, Mojo, and their new(?) co-host Grace Lee. I googled Grace to see what she looks like and goshdarnit, she's such a cutiepie! =)) Heehee, but wala na pala si Andi9 sakanila? Aww, I miss Andi (but we're friends naman in Multiply so it's okay!)... and Miguel the kid, where is he na? =))

Anyways, I better go now! First time trick or treater all giddy here! I need to fix my "costume" pa! Haha! =))

O baka lang sakali na vini-view mo rin to at hindi mo alam na may "viewing history" pala sa Multiply, pwes sana ngayon alam mo na! =)) At kung sa tingin mo hindi ikaw itong pinatatamaan ko dito, sinasabi ko na sayo... OO, ikaw! Ikaw yun! Ikaw nga si Douchegirl!!! =))

FULL HOUSE.

Picture this: A F.R.I.E.N.D.S/Will and Grace-y New York type apartment, only smaller... with 5, sometimes 6 or 7 at max, number of people living inside.

Chaos? No.
Home? Yes.

Definitely, yes.

If you still haven't heard, 7 of my relatives are already here: 3 cousins, 1 aunt, 2 grandfathers and 1 grandmother. 3 are staying with us and 4 are with our other relatives at New Jersey (but one sleeps over with us during weekends). They came about a month and a half ago and they'll be here till (forever- I wish!) late December.

Full house. Ah, yes! Never a dull moment.

See, just last week, my cousin got his left ear pierced, for the first time. Having lived (and fought!) through World War II, my Lowlo was all like, "Kapag ikaw binugbog ng mga gangsters dyan ah!" on him. Haha, so funny! =)) And since we're always open to joke around with him, I told him (I was kidding, ofcourse!), "Eh lolo, gusto pa nga niya magpa-tattoo eh!", and he replied, "Ah, bahala kayo, basta ako hindi ako sang-ayon sa mga ganyan!" Tapos my cousin, also teasing him said, "Eh lolo, ipapa-tattoo ko naman yung pangalan mo eh... papalagay ko 'Bro. Charlie' sa braso ko." Then my Mom, overhearing this said, "Pabayaan mo na yan, Papa. Bente-uno anyos na yan, pwede na niya gawin ang gusto niya!" which I replied with an "O, pwede na pala eh. Palagay mo nalang, 'Brother Charlie is my homeboy! Ako 22 na, so pwede narin ako magpa-tat? Dibale Mommy, lalagay ko naman, 'Evelyn (her name) is my biatch eh!"

One of the many other funny convo's my cousin had with my Lowlo was when they were on their way to our local park. Here was how it went:

*they were walking at a slow pace since my Lowlo's using a cane.*

Cousin: "Lolo, kaya mo pa ba tumakbo o lumakad ng mabilis?"
Lolo: "Ay siyempre, kung may hahabol ba naman saatin ng bayoneta, tatakbo talaga ako!"

HAHA! Unlimited LOLsss!!! WTF, BAYONETA??!! Stress-reliever/laughtrip talaga eh! =))

So let me say it again...

Ah, the perks of having a full house! Yes,

...just like that then Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen, now defunct family show.
...just like my all-time favorite Jessie/Justin Korean soap.
...just like what we have now.

Common denominator(s)? Love, family and fun.

The only downside is, we all have to share one bathroom.

ONE- and I know, that you know that we all know how different boys' pee smells from girls' pee, right? Eek! =P

But hey, whatever, while you call it chaos, I call it home.

And I will never, ever trade it for anything.

See, I'm not even supposed to be blogging right this very minute. I really, really NEED to do a lot of things-- I haven't even decided on the costume I'll be wearing for this halloween yet, and it's already this Friday!!!
We might go trick-or-treating (virgin trick-or-treater here!) at New Jersey and my cousin, Chel, who just recently graduated from Nursing is thinking of going as a slutty nurse while my other cousin, Blanche, wants to go as a gothic promgirl. I'm thinking of going as a schoolgirl-- idea inspired by thee Blair Waldorf (ofcourse!), Britney Spears in her 'Baby on more time' music video, and this clip from Eurotrip of my girlcrush, Kristin Kreuk:

At the same time, I'm also alternately reading 3 ebooks at the moment; P.S. I love you, Memoirs of a Geisha and Midnight Sun. I also still have household and social life duties to attend to, and to top it all, we have this project-- 4 to 6 pages of Personal Career Developmental Essay for my Internship class, due by 9am sharp tomorrow.
And guess what?
I haven't done a single thing yet- not even my name on the header.

Oh, but it's my good friend, Pot's birthday/babyshower on Saturday and much much later that night, my cousins are planning on going clubbing, so yeah- I have that to look forward to.

I realllllly missed blogging- in blogspot! One other project we have is to make this academic ePortfolio which XOMG really tested my patience 'cause I was holding myself back from posting all these pent-up excited kwento's as, as the name suggests, it's just supposed to be an "academic" site.

Oh, and get this: just last week, I had a job internship interview and I'm guessing I screwed up!
My interviewer's last question for me was sort of like a trick question, and it goes like:
"If you were to live in a significant period in time, which would it be?"
I soo wasn't ready for that so my poquito brain totally froze! All I could think of was the Marie Antoinette period because I just Mininova'd it the night before. So I answered that, and guess what she told me?
"Did you say Marie Antoinette, I HATED THAT MOVIE SO MUCH!"
Niiiiiice.
Pfft. But oh well, sabi nga nila, ang buhay talaga, parang bato... it's hard. =P

And what a lovely way to start the day.

It's my grandfather's (which I now fondly call Lowlow, as Lowla was what I used to call my grandmother when she was still alive.) 86th birthday today and boy did we have fun even before the sun was at it's peak.

We called the Philippines to greet my cousin, J.C., 'cause he shares the same birthdate with my Lowlo-- and that is also why we would always tease him as the favorite apo. They had a little party at his house and almost everyone was there. Overseas calls are always fun when there are a lot of people in the room you could talk to or could pass the phone over to. We were all laughing because my other cousin, Kitisky, and I would talk to them with a Tagalog twang (ala-Sam Milby!) even if we've been only here for a month a half (for my cousin); and a year and a half (for me).

Tapos my Lolo did his obsession for "roll-calling" again. Roll-calling is when he would call out all of his apo's name (we're 16 by the way) one by freakin one (which he now enjoys doing daily), and tell them that he would leave out this and that amount of money to us if God's will he wins the American lottery- which he everyday joins, or gets his lump-sum pension from the U.S. government. Ang kulit, sobra.

Hay, family. I miss them all a lot.. a whole lot!!!

And later tonight, after we eat and celebrate c/o Ihawan, our favorite Filipino restaurant, we will be webcamming with all of them from back home- a session which I'm sure will be one helluva fun event too!

Well, I am a nomad.

Or maybe I just get tired of things TOO easily.

Tumbler was fine, but our connection?-- it was more on what you'd call a 'fling' ...or a 'one night stand'. It wasn't really love. It was just, LIKE... at first sight. Or simply put, just joining the bandwagon.

Let's put it this way... At parties, you wear your 45-inch Manolo's just to fit in or look the part-- even if it kills your littlest toe. But at the end of the day, when everything's quiet and everyone's back to where they should be, you reach out under your bed for your worn-out but comfy Pucca bedroom slip-ons... and ALAS! Hmmm, heaven right under your feet.

Basically, that's how I feel with blogspot.

It's where I REALLY started.

It's where I got to know, got re-connected with old, and even gained new friends.

It's my kind of system.

My haven.
